Fiction
Sara primarily writes in the horror, fantasy, and romance genres, exploring themes of cultural belonging, the religious Gothic aspects of spiritual institutions, and other theological commentary based on her spiritual experiences and studies. Her debut novel, The Glass Witch, is a dark/high fantasy with a romance sub-plot.
The Glass Witch
An enemies-to-lovers high fantasy where the four seasons only change when the four kings who rule them trade their thrones with one another. Winter's king has condemned his neighbors to death by refusing to leave his frosted country and the only one who can help this situation is none other than the Glass Witch, a half-Summer, half Winter pariah that the world abandoned a century prior.
The Wraith Queen
The sequel to The Glass Witch, this story follows the Glass Witch on her journey in deciding where her loyalties truly lie and what world is worth saving. The world of the Ringlands expands in this sequel, as well as our view of the many political players on the world stage. In a place like this, someone like our heroine, Aveline, is surrounded by enemies in her icy stronghold.
Nonfiction
In nonfiction, Sara explores her direct spiritual experiences via spiritual memoir. Her works consist of narrative interpretations of her conversations with Divinity, reflections on culture, history, and other scholarship, and personal accounts of how the spiritual translates into the mundane world we all live in.
Where the Gods Left Off
